A Bird In The Hand, a CPT&R program about hummingbird research in Alabama, received a first prize in the science and nature documentary category at the recent National Educational and Telecommunications Association (NETA) conference in Las Vegas.
NETA honored the CPT&R documentary "A Bird In the Hand" for excellence in science and nature programming.
A Bird In The Hand tells about hummingbird banding and research conducted in Alabama by Bob and Martha Sargent and other members of the Hummer/Bird Study Group.
NETA is an organization of 110 public television stations across the United States.
"A Bird In The Hand" was shot and produced in high-definition television. Videographers Wade Woodall and Ricky Harmon captured beautiful images of hummingbirds and other migratory songbirds for the program. The documentary was produced by Brent Davis.
